Discover Our Range of Lifestyle Groupsets

Shimano CUES is the LINKGLIDE drivetrain platform for commuter, trekking, gravel and e-bikes: 9, 10 and 11-speed, in flat-bar (U4000, U6000, U8000) and drop-bar (U3000, U4030, U6030) tiers, with the ESSA U2000 underneath. Every kit here is an editable bundle. Choose your crank length, chainring and cassette, and leave out the crank, brakes, rotors or bottom bracket if your bike keeps its own; e-bikes and upgrades are not charged for parts they cannot fit. Tune Cycles supplies and fits CUES across Sydney as Australia's only Authorised Mobile Shimano Service Centre.

Which CUES tier? U4000, U6000 and U8000 all shift the same LINKGLIDE way; what changes is speeds, cassette range, the crank and the derailleur's clutch. Read our guide to CUES U4000 vs U6000 vs U8000.
Drop bars? U3000 is mechanical disc, U4030 and U6030 are hydraulic, and the speeds decide the cassette range. Read our guide to CUES for drop bars: U3000, U4030 and U6030.
CUES or 105? One is a road groupset, the other a utility groupset on drop bars, and each is better at its own job. Read our comparison of Shimano CUES vs 105. New to CUES altogether? Start with Shimano CUES explained.
Coming from Altus, Acera, Alivio or an older Deore? U4000 replaced Altus and Acera, U6000 replaced Alivio and the 10- and 11-speed Deore, and 12-speed Deore was never in scope. Read our guide to what CUES replaced and what to fit when the old drivetrain wears out.
Upgrading an older hybrid or commuter? Whether a CUES kit fits comes down to three things: the rear freehub, the crank interface and the shifters. Read our guide to upgrading an old hybrid or commuter to Shimano CUES.
