The hard-wearing 11-speed drivetrain for e-MTBs

Deore XT M8130 is Shimano's LINKGLIDE drivetrain, built for the torque of a mid-drive motor. LINKGLIDE sprockets are taller and thicker than HYPERGLIDE, the chain sits deeper in each gear, and shifts land cleanly under full power. Shimano rates the cassette at up to three times the life of a conventional one. This kit is the four parts that make up that drivetrain, sold together so they match.

Kit includes

  • SL-M8130 RAPIDFIRE PLUS right shifter, 11-speed, in a band-clamp or I-SPEC EV mount
  • RD-M8130-SGS SHADOW RD+ rear derailleur, 11-speed, long cage, made for a 50T low sprocket
  • CS-LG700-11 LINKGLIDE cassette, 11-50T, for a standard Shimano HG freehub body
  • CN-LG500 LINKGLIDE chain, 138 links, with quick link

What is not in the box

No crank and no brakes. E-bikes use the motor's own crank arms, so a crank would only add cost; if your bike needs one, ask us before you order. The RD-M8130-SGS is made for the 11-50T cassette only, so the smaller 11-45T LINKGLIDE cassette is not offered here. Every part can be deselected if you already have it, and the price follows the parts you keep.

Fits

Flat-bar bikes with a Shimano HG-spline freehub. LINKGLIDE parts are designed to work only with each other: the shifter, derailleur, cassette and chain here are all LINKGLIDE 11-speed and do not mix with 11-speed HYPERGLIDE or 12-speed HYPERGLIDE+ components.

Tune Cycles supplies and fits Shimano across Sydney as Australia's only Authorised Mobile Shimano Service Centre. Fitting is quoted separately when you book.

Every part in this kit is covered by Shimano's standard manufacturer warranty against defects in materials and workmanship. Wear from normal use, incorrect installation or crash damage is not covered. For any warranty claim or support, return the part to Tune Cycles and we will handle it with Shimano.
