The Shimano CUES U6000 2x10-speed groupset is a complete double-chainring LINKGLIDE drivetrain for flat-bar bikes: trekking and touring bikes, commuters, hardtails and e-bikes that want a wide gear range from a front double and shifting that stays crisp for the long haul. LINKGLIDE sprockets and chain are built for durability under load, so the drivetrain keeps shifting cleanly well beyond the life of a conventional cassette.

Kit includes (default configuration)

• SL-U6000-10R RAPIDFIRE PLUS right shifter, 10-speed, with optical gear display
• SL-U8000-L RAPIDFIRE PLUS Mono left shifter (2-speed) – choose clamp band or I-SPEC II
• RD-U6020-SGS long-cage rear derailleur, 10-speed – the CUES derailleur for double-chainring drivetrains
• FD-U6000 Side Swing front derailleur – choose direct mount, E-type or mid clamp band
• CS-LG400-10 LINKGLIDE cassette, 11-39T (fits a standard Shimano HG freehub body)
• CN-LG500 LINKGLIDE chain with quick link

Optional parts – FC-U6000-2 HOLLOWTECH II crankset – choose 170 or 175 mm arms with 36-22T rings (standard or Boost chainline) or 46-30T rings (e-bikes and bikes keeping their crank leave it at 0), BB-MT501 threaded bottom bracket, BR-U8000 / BL-U8000 hydraulic disc brake sets (front and rear) and RT-MT800 Centre Lock rotors (up to two, choose the size). Every part in the kit can be deselected in the Customise Your Purchase panel, so leave out anything you already have. The crank, bottom bracket, brakes and rotors start at 0, so e-bikes and bikes keeping their own parts are not charged for them.

Gearing and compatibility

The kit is built around the 36-22T crankset with the 11-39T cassette, which is the pairing the FD-U6000 (40T maximum chainring, 14-tooth difference) is designed for. If you would prefer the 46-30T crankset, contact us before ordering: its 46T ring and 16-tooth step are beyond the FD-U6000's rating, so it needs a different front derailleur (the FD-U8010-L takes a 46T ring), which this kit does not include. All parts must be 10-speed LINKGLIDE-compatible for correct indexing. The cassette mounts on a standard Shimano HG freehub body, and the crankset's HOLLOWTECH II 24 mm axle pairs with the BB-MT501 (68/73 mm threaded) from the optional parts if your frame needs a new bottom bracket. The brake sets and rotors are optional because most upgrades of an existing bike keep the brakes already fitted.
