The Shimano CUES U6000 1x11-speed groupset is a complete single-ring LINKGLIDE drivetrain for flat-bar bikes: commuters, trekking and touring bikes, hardtails and e-bikes that need gears which shift cleanly under load and keep doing so for a very long time. LINKGLIDE sprockets and chain are built for durability first, so the drivetrain stays quiet and precise well beyond the life of a conventional cassette.

Kit includes (default configuration)

  • SL-U6000-11R RAPIDFIRE PLUS right shifter, 11-speed, with optical gear display
  • RD-U6000-GS rear derailleur (SHIMANO SHADOW RD+ with switchable chain stabiliser)
  • CS-LG700-11 LINKGLIDE cassette, 11-50T (fits a standard Shimano HG freehub body)
  • CN-LG500 LINKGLIDE chain with quick link

Optional parts – add them if your bike needs them: FC-U6000-1 HOLLOWTECH II crankset – choose 170 or 175 mm arms with a 30, 32, 40 or 42T chainring (e-bikes and bikes keeping their crank leave it at 0), BB-MT501 threaded bottom bracket, BR-U8000 / BL-U8000 hydraulic disc brake sets (front and rear) and RT-MT800 Centre Lock rotors (up to two, choose the size). Every part in the kit can be deselected in the Customise Your Purchase panel, so leave out anything you already have. The crank, bottom bracket, brakes and rotors start at 0, so e-bikes and bikes keeping their own parts are not charged for them.

Why the 11-50T cassette

The RD-U6000-GS is designed for a 48–50T low sprocket, so this kit ships the 11-50T CS-LG700-11 rather than the 11-45T version, which sits outside the derailleur's range. With a 30 or 32T chainring that gives a very low climbing gear for loaded or steep riding; the 40 and 42T rings suit flatter, faster commuting.

Compatibility and fit

All parts are 11-speed LINKGLIDE and must be used together with LINKGLIDE-compatible components for correct indexing. The CS-LG700-11 mounts on a standard Shimano HG freehub body. The crankset uses a HOLLOWTECH II 24 mm axle; if your frame needs a new bottom bracket, add the BB-MT501 (68/73 mm threaded) from the optional parts. The brake sets and rotors are optional because most upgrades of an existing bike keep the brakes already fitted.
