Silca Hot Melt Wax

Hot melt wax is the ultimate in chain maintenance.  Factory grease is very sticky and attracts dust and grim that shortens chain life.  Once the factory grease is stripped clean of the chain and replaced with hot melt wax you're left with an incredibly clean chain that will last up to 25,000km.

Hot melt chain waxing saves money on chains and cassettes, keeps your bike cleaner and looking amazing and is also 8w faster!

What you Need

• Upto 3 bike chains of your choice to suit your drivetrain
• Ultrasonic Clean of your chain to remove factory grease (included)
• Chains is pre-waxed with Silca Secret Chain Blend Hot Melt Wax
• 500g of Silca Secret Chain Blend Hot Melt Wax for re-waxing at home
• Silca Super Secret Chain Drip Wax for application between hot melt re-dipping

Optional Tools

• Shimano Joining Link Pliers to connect and remove the joining link easily
• Shimano Chain Wear Indicator to keep track of your chain wear
• Shimano Chain Cutter to cut the chain to the correct length on your bike

What you need at home

• Old Kettle to clean the chain with boiling water
• Small slow cooker or old pot to slow heat the wax
