Construction & Materials

The PD-M9200 body is machined aluminium, pared back to minimise weight without sacrificing the platform stiffness needed for efficient XC power. The chromoly steel axle runs in a serviceable bearing system, and the slim axle housing keeps mud and grit away from the internals. All contact edges are rounded to prevent debris build-up that could compromise engagement.

Cleat Compatibility

Supplied with Shimano SM-SH51 single-release SPD cleats. Also compatible with SM-SH56 multi-release cleats (easier twist-out release) and the newer CL-MT001 SPD cleats. A 1 mm cleat height spacer is included for fine-tuning cleat stack. Optimised for use with Shimano XC903 and RX801 MTB shoes, but compatible with any shoe accepting two-bolt SPD cleats.

Compatibility & Fit

Standard 9/16" × 20 TPI axle thread fits all standard crank arms. Available as standard axle or -3 mm shorter axle (PD-M9200 S1 variant). Compatible with Shimano SM-SH51 and SM-SH56 SPD cleats and CL-MT001 cleats. Suitable for XC racing, cyclocross, and gravel riding. Two-bolt cleat mounting pattern.
