CUES U8000 Series

The CUES platform is Shimano's unified groupset designed to bridge the gap between MTB and city/trekking disciplines. The U8000 tier offers high-level Di2 electronic shifting with LINKGLIDE technology — a drivetrain system engineered for extended component life and smoother engagement under load, making it ideal for touring, commuting, and e-bike applications.

Electronic Di2 System

Powered by Shimano's mature E-Tube Di2 architecture, the RD-U8050-SGS shifts via a wired or wireless connection to compatible CUES levers and switches. LED indicators provide system status at a glance, and the integrated function button allows on-the-fly adjustments. The derailleur also supports connection to compatible Bosch BSE3 e-bike drive units via the PW-PS300 power supply wire (sold separately).

Designed for 1×11-speed drivetrains using Shimano LINKGLIDE technology. Compatible with LINKGLIDE 11-50T cassettes and LINKGLIDE 11-speed chains (HG 11-speed chains are also supported). Requires a compatible Shimano Di2 E-Tube system; compatible with select Bosch BSE3 e-bike systems via PW-PS300 (sold separately).
