Entry-level Shimano drop-bar gearing that shifts like the good stuff

The CUES U3000 1x9 drop-bar groupset brings Shimano's DUAL CONTROL LEVER ergonomics and LINKGLIDE durability to a single-chainring road, gravel or commuter build with cable-actuated disc brakes. LINKGLIDE cassettes and chains are built for long service life and clean shifts under load, which is why CUES has replaced Shimano's older entry ranges.

  • ST-U3030-9R right shift/brake lever (9-speed, mechanical disc)
  • BL-U3030-L left brake lever (mechanical disc)
  • RD-U3020 rear derailleur, SGS cage
  • CS-LG400-9 LINKGLIDE 9-speed cassette, 11-36T (the ratio RD-U3020 is designed for)
  • CN-LG500 LINKGLIDE chain, 138 links

Options

  • FC-U4000-1 crankset, your choice of 170 or 175 mm and 30, 32, 40 or 42T (optional: add it unless your bike is an e-bike or keeps its crank)
  • BR-RS305 flat-mount mechanical disc calipers, front and rear
  • RT-CL700 Center Lock rotors (choose size)
  • BB-UN300 square-taper bottom bracket, 68 x 123 mm

The crank, bottom bracket, brakes and rotors are optional extras that start at 0, so e-bikes and bikes keeping their own parts are not charged for them. Every other part can be deselected if you already have it. Levers take NEW SUPER SLR road calipers and 23.8 to 24.2 mm drop bars. The cassette fits a standard HG freehub body; the crank is square taper.

Every part in this kit is covered by Shimano's standard manufacturer warranty against defects in materials and workmanship. Wear from normal use, incorrect installation or crash damage is not covered. For any warranty claim or support, return the part to Tune Cycles and we will handle it with Shimano.
