The lever shape is inherited from Shimano's higher-grade mechanical Dual Control Levers, giving a secure, comfortable grip on the hood and a natural reach to the blade. The result is smoother, more intuitive braking that suits long days on road and gravel.

SUPER SLR braking

Shimano's SUPER SLR system uses a friction-reducing approach across the lever, cable and caliper to sharpen response and improve modulation, so cable disc braking feels more controlled and predictable.

Compatibility & fit

This is the left lever of the CUES U3030 pair. In the standard Australian setup the left lever operates the rear brake. It is designed for mechanical (cable-pull) disc brake calipers only — it is not hydraulic and is not for rim brakes. It uses a short-pull cable ratio, so pair it with a short-pull (road/mechanical-disc) caliper. The bar clamp suits a 23.8–24.2 mm clamp area. Caliper, cable and housing are sold separately.
