Shimano BR-RS305 mechanical disc brake caliper, rear

A cable-actuated flat mount disc caliper that is easy to live with: predictable at the lever, quick to set up and simple to keep adjusted. The low-profile body tucks neatly into the frame and the wide pad clearance makes rub far less likely after a wheel change.

Heat and setup

The finned Ice Technologies pad moves heat out of the pad and caliper on long descents, which helps keep the lever feel consistent. The one supplied bracket flips to suit either rotor size, so you are not buying an extra adapter to change rotor diameter.

Compatibility and fit

For frames with a flat mount rear disc brake interface, used with cable-operated brake levers. Takes a 140 mm or 160 mm rotor via the Flip-Flop bracket. In Australia the left-hand lever operates the rear brake, so this caliper runs from your left lever. If you are unsure whether your frame is flat mount or post mount, send us a photo and we will confirm it.
