Entry-level electronic shifting, with AUTO SHIFT, for a STEPS e-bike

The CUES Di2 U6050 1x10 kit is the starting point for electronic shifting on a Shimano STEPS e-bike. The RD-U6050-GS rear derailleur was developed for the EP600 and EP801 motor systems and brings AUTO SHIFT, which reads the motor's sensors and picks the gear for you, and FREE SHIFT, which changes gear while you coast. A press of the switch overrides it whenever you want manual control.

  • CN-LG500 LINKGLIDE chain with quick link
  • EW-SD300-I electric wire, 1200 mm (1400 or 1600 mm as alternatives), derailleur to drive unit

Options

  • FC-U6000-1 HOLLOWTECH II crankset, 170 or 175 mm, for a bike that is not using the motor's crank arms
  • BB-MT501 threaded 68/73 mm bottom bracket
  • BR-U8000 / BL-U8000 hydraulic disc brakes, front and rear
  • RT-MT800 Center Lock rotors, choose the size

The crank, bottom bracket, brakes and rotors start at 0, so an e-bike keeping its own parts is not charged for them. Every other part can be deselected if you already have it.

What it needs

A Shimano STEPS EP600 or EP801 e-bike system with a free EW-SD300 port. The RD-U6050-GS is an e-bike derailleur only: it does not work with mechanical shifting or with non-CUES Di2 systems. Every part is 10-speed LINKGLIDE and works only with other LINKGLIDE parts. Set-up and shift customisation are done in the E-TUBE PROJECT app.

Every part in this kit is covered by Shimano's standard manufacturer warranty against defects in materials and workmanship. Wear from normal use, incorrect installation or crash damage is not covered. For any warranty claim or support, return the part to Tune Cycles and we will handle it with Shimano.
