Electronic LINKGLIDE shifting for a Shimano STEPS e-bike

The CUES Di2 U8050 1x11 kit is the electronic version of the CUES LINKGLIDE drivetrain, sold as the parts that make it shift so they match. The RD-U8050-SGS rear derailleur takes its power from the STEPS drive unit through one EW-SD300 wire, and the SW-EN605-R switch on the bars talks to it wirelessly. No cable to stretch, nothing to re-index, and a LINKGLIDE cassette built to outlast a conventional one under motor torque.

Options

  • FC-U8000-1 HOLLOWTECH II crankset, 170 or 175 mm, 40 or 42T, for a bike that is not using the motor's crank arms
  • BB-MT501 threaded 68/73 mm bottom bracket
  • BR-U8000 / BL-U8000 hydraulic disc brakes, front and rear
  • RT-MT800 Center Lock rotors, choose the size

The crank, bottom bracket, brakes and rotors start at 0, so an e-bike keeping its own parts is not charged for them. Every other part can be deselected if you already have it.

What it needs

A Shimano STEPS e-bike system with a free EW-SD300 port (EP600 and EP801 take the wire directly), or a Bosch BSE3 system with Shimano's PW-PS300 power supply wire, which we do not stock as a kit part: ask us before you order. The RD-U8050-SGS is offered here with the 11-50T cassette only, the range it is made for. Every part here is 11-speed LINKGLIDE and works only with other LINKGLIDE parts; it does not mix with HYPERGLIDE or HYPERGLIDE+ components. Set-up, firmware and shift customisation are done in the E-TUBE PROJECT app.

Every part in this kit is covered by Shimano's standard manufacturer warranty against defects in materials and workmanship. Wear from normal use, incorrect installation or crash damage is not covered. For any warranty claim or support, return the part to Tune Cycles and we will handle it with Shimano.
