VelectriX Ascent 24 eMTB for Kids and Small Riders

The Ascent 24 is the smallest bike in the Ascent family, built on 24" wheels for kids and very small adults. It gives younger riders a proper hub-drive eMTB, with suspension and hydraulic brakes, so they can keep up on rail trails and mild off-road rides.
- Sized for smaller riders: an Extra-small aluminium mountain bike frame on 24" double-wall wheels.
- Gentle, predictable assist: a VelectriX RX1 rear hub motor (250 W, 36 V, 45 Nm) with a cadence sensor and 4 assist levels.
- Up to 50 km per charge: from a 36 V, 378 Wh Reention Bee battery.
- Grip and comfort: a VelectriX suspension fork with 80 mm travel and Kenda Booster 24" x 2.2" tyres.
- Easy control: Shimano 7-speed gearing and Shimano MT200 hydraulic disc brakes.
Road legal, pedal-assist only
The motor is 250 W, it only assists while the rider pedals, there is no throttle, and assistance stops at 25 km/h. The Ascent 24 is built to EN15194 and is road legal in all Australian states and territories.
Sizing
The Ascent 24 comes in Extra-small, in Silver, for riders 130–155 cm. It weighs 20.9 kg including the battery and is rated for a 110 kg rider plus 25 kg of luggage on a rear rack (optional accessory).
Tune Cycles in Marrickville, Sydney, can set up the Ascent 24 for its rider and look after its servicing.
VelectriX warranty, from the date of purchase:
- Frame: 5 years against manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship.
- Motor, battery and motor controller: 2 years.
- Battery charger, display, wiring looms, pedal-assist sensor and gear-shift sensor: 1 year.
- Fork, stem, handlebar, headset, seatpost, saddle, brakes, bottom bracket, crankset, pedals, rims, spokes, hubs, derailleur, shifter and rear rack: 1 year.
Wear items aren't covered: tyres and tubes, kickstand, mudguards, lights, grips, brake pads and rotors, chainrings, cassette, chain and gear cables. A battery that keeps at least 60% of its capacity within 2 years is considered normal ageing. The frame is rated for a 110 kg rider plus 25 kg of luggage. The warranty covers the original purchaser of a bike bought through an authorised VelectriX dealer (Tune Cycles is one), with proof of purchase, and claims go through that dealer.
