The Urban ST is set up for commuting from the day you collect it. A low step-through frame, a suspension fork and puncture-resistant tyres make it an easy daily ride, and the rack, mudguards and lights are already on the bike.

  • Fewer flats: Kenda Khan II 27.5" x 2.1" tyres with K-Shield puncture-resistant casing and a reflective strip.
  • Smoother over rough roads: a VelectriX suspension fork with 60 mm travel, plus a lockout for smooth stretches.
  • Carries the shopping: the rear rack takes up to 25 kg, with mudguards, integrated front and rear lights and a kickstand as standard.
  • Steady hub-drive assist: a Bafang G120 rear hub motor (250 W, 45 Nm) with 5 assist levels from 10 to 25 km/h.
  • Up to 50 km per charge: from a 36 V, 417 Wh Reention Mini Eel battery.
  • Dependable gears and brakes: Shimano Altus 8-speed (11-32T) and Shimano MT200 hydraulic discs on 160 mm rotors.

Road legal and simple to ride

The Urban ST is pedal-assist only with no throttle, and its 250 W motor stops assisting at 25 km/h. It is built to EN15194, so it is road legal in all Australian states and territories.

Sizing

Every size comes in Green: Extra-small for riders 150–165 cm, Small for 160–175 cm and Medium for 175 cm and taller. It weighs 24.5 kg including the battery and is rated for a 110 kg rider plus 25 kg on the rack.

VelectriX warranty, from the date of purchase:

  • Frame: 5 years against manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship.
  • Motor, battery and motor controller: 2 years.
  • Battery charger, display, wiring looms, pedal-assist sensor and gear-shift sensor: 1 year.
  • Fork, stem, handlebar, headset, seatpost, saddle, brakes, bottom bracket, crankset, pedals, rims, spokes, hubs, derailleur, shifter and rear rack: 1 year.

Wear items aren't covered: tyres and tubes, kickstand, mudguards, lights, grips, brake pads and rotors, chainrings, cassette, chain and gear cables. A battery that keeps at least 60% of its capacity within 2 years is considered normal ageing. The frame is rated for a 110 kg rider plus 25 kg of luggage. The warranty covers the original purchaser of a bike bought through an authorised VelectriX dealer (Tune Cycles is one), with proof of purchase, and claims go through that dealer.
