The SUV is the load-carrier of the VelectriX range: 20" x 3.3" fat tyres, a step-through frame and racks front and rear, with the highest rated carrying capacity of the VelectriX bikes we list. It is built for shopping runs, commuting and weekend trips on sealed roads, gravel and dirt.

Road legal, pedal-assist only

The SUV is a 250 W pedal-assist eBike with no throttle, and assistance stops at 25 km/h. It is built to EN15194 and road legal in all Australian states and territories.

Sizing and what is included

The SUV is one size, suiting riders 155–188 cm, in Blue or Grey. At 32.1 kg it is a solid bike, and it comes with front and rear racks, mudguards, integrated front and rear lights and a kickstand.

Tune Cycles in Marrickville, Sydney, can set up your SUV and keep it rolling with regular servicing.

VelectriX warranty, from the date of purchase:

  • Frame: 5 years against manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship.
  • Motor, battery and motor controller: 2 years.
  • Battery charger, display, wiring looms, pedal-assist sensor and gear-shift sensor: 1 year.
  • Fork, stem, handlebar, headset, seatpost, saddle, brakes, bottom bracket, crankset, pedals, rims, spokes, hubs, derailleur, shifter and rear rack: 1 year.

Wear items aren't covered: tyres and tubes, kickstand, mudguards, lights, grips, brake pads and rotors, chainrings, cassette, chain and gear cables. A battery that keeps at least 60% of its capacity within 2 years is considered normal ageing. The frame is rated for a 125 kg rider plus 55 kg of luggage. The warranty covers the original purchaser of a bike bought through an authorised VelectriX dealer (Tune Cycles is one), with proof of purchase, and claims go through that dealer.
