Construction

The FC-M8130-1 uses Shimano's proven HOLLOWTECH II manufacturing process, forging a hollow section into the crank arms to remove material where it isn't needed while maintaining rigidity under hard pedalling loads. The integrated spindle design is built into the right crank arm, sleeving through an outboard bottom bracket for a clean, durable interface. This crankset ships without a chainring or bottom bracket — both are sold separately, giving you the flexibility to choose the tooth count and BB shell format that suits your build.

Compatibility & Fit

Designed for 1x12-speed Shimano drivetrains. Chainline is 56.5mm, suited to Super Boost Plus rear ends with a 157mm O.L.D. Q-factor is 181mm. Compatible outboard bottom brackets include the BB-MT801 (threaded 68mm or 73mm shell) and BB-MT800-PA (PF41 press-fit). Accepts XT M8100-series direct-mount chainrings. Crank arm, chainring, and bottom bracket are all sold separately.
