Construction & Design

The FC-M8200 crankset uses Shimano's proven HOLLOWTECH II forging process to shape the aluminium crankarms into a hollow cross-section, achieving the stiffness-to-weight balance needed for competitive trail riding. The 24mm steel spindle integrates with the right crankarm and works with Shimano's outboard bottom bracket system for a rigid, play-free interface. With a 176mm Q-Factor and 55mm chain line, the geometry mirrors what racers expect from a dedicated XC or enduro build.

Drivetrain Integration

Designed as part of the Deore XT M8200 Di2 groupset ecosystem, the FC-M8200 is equally at home in manual drivetrain builds. It is optimised for 12-speed chains and pairs directly with Shimano's M8100/M8200 12-speed cassettes and derailleurs. The direct-mount chainring interface accepts SM-CRM86 chainrings in 28T, 30T, 32T, 34T, and 36T options, sold separately.
