Aeffect R eMTB is an eMTB Built rear wheel, designed by Race Face around the compatibility constraints and higher loads of full-power e-bikes. A burly 32-hole 6069 alloy rim meets the Trace eMTB hub with a steel axle. Pair it with the Aeffect R front wheel for a tough e-bike wheelset.

Charged up and ready

The Aeffect R eMTB rim sports a 30mm inner width and is tubeless ready. Its 32-hole, 4.5mm offset spoke bed balances spoke tension for a stiffer, stronger wheel that stands up to trail and all-mountain punishment under the extra weight and torque of an e-bike.

Trace eMTB hub

The Trace eMTB hub keeps it simple: durable cartridge bearings, 10-degree engagement and a tough steel axle, with steel cassette body options. This listing offers Shimano Microspline, Shimano HG and SRAM XD versions; the table below shows which combinations are available.

Compatibility & fit

Choose the axle that matches your frame (12x148mm Boost or 12x157mm Super Boost) and the freehub that matches your cassette. The hub takes a 6-bolt disc rotor. Race Face pairs this rear wheel with the Aeffect R front wheel for a complete eMTB wheelset. This is a single wheel; tyre, disc rotor and cassette aren't included. Fitting isn't included. Our Marrickville workshop can fit the wheel, set it up tubeless and move your rotor and cassette across as a separate service.
