Shimano SLX BR-M7120 4-piston hydraulic disc brakes, front and rear, with rotors

A complete 4-piston hydraulic disc brake upgrade for trail, enduro and all-mountain riding: two pre-bled Shimano SLX assembled sets (lever, hose and caliper BR-M7120 with resin pads with cooling fins) plus a pair of SM-RT86 Ice Technologies rotors. Each side arrives assembled, filled and bled, so it bolts on without a bleed when the hose lengths suit your bike.

Kit includes

• Front: BR-M7120 4-piston post-mount caliper with BL-M7100 right-hand lever and 1000 mm hose, pre-bled
• Rear: BR-M7120 caliper with BL-M7100 left-hand lever and 1700 mm hose, pre-bled
• 2 x SM-RT86 Ice Technologies 6-bolt rotors, 180 mm, 154 g each

Options

Rotor sizes: 6-bolt: SM-RT86 Ice Technologies 160, 180, 203 mm. The kit defaults to two 180 mm (SM-RT86 Ice Technologies); set that row to 0 and pick another size, or mix sizes (a larger rotor at the front is common). BR-M7120 takes 160 to 220 mm rotors (Shimano also lists 140 mm, rear use only).

Fit-up parts, sold separately (linked here and shown with this kit): Shimano mount adapters (SM-MA90-F180P/P for a 160 mm post mount to a 180 mm rotor; SM-MA-F203P/P for a 160 mm post mount to a 203 mm rotor; SM-MA-F203P/PM for a 180 mm post mount to a 203 mm rotor; SM-MA90-R180P/S for an IS rear mount to a 180 mm rotor), spare pads (N03A-RF resin with fins; N04C-MF metal with fins), Shimano mineral oil (SM-DB-OIL), a bleed kit. Add what your bike needs to the cart alongside the kit.

This kit is the 6-bolt version; the Centre Lock version is listed separately.

Already have rotors? Untick them and the price follows the parts you keep. Every part in this kit can be deselected, so a bike that only needs one end, or already has the right rotors, is not charged for the rest.

Fitting notes

Australian convention: the right-hand lever works the front brake and the left-hand lever the rear; the sets are built that way. Most post-mount forks and frames take a 160 mm rotor directly; check your fork or frame's native size - a larger rotor needs the matching Shimano adapter only when the mount is smaller than the rotor (the matching adapters are linked above and shown with this kit). 6-bolt rotors bolt straight to a 6-bolt hub. The 1700 mm rear hose suits most frames; very large frames or high-rise bars may need a longer hose fitted and bled by a workshop. Service fluid: Shimano mineral oil (SM-DB-OIL).
