SRAM DB8 4-piston hydraulic disc brakes, front and rear, with rotors

A complete 4-piston hydraulic disc brake upgrade for trail, enduro and e-MTB riding: two pre-bled SRAM DB8 brakes (lever, hose and caliper DB8 with pads fitted) plus a pair of HS2 rotors. Each brake arrives assembled and bled with its hose fitted, so it bolts on without a bleed when the hose lengths suit your bike.

Kit includes

• Front: DB8 4-piston post-mount caliper with its lever and 950 mm hose, pre-bled (fitted on the right in Australia)
• Rear: DB8 caliper with its lever and 2000 mm hose, pre-bled (fitted on the left in Australia)
• 2 x HS2 6-bolt rotors, 180 mm
• MatchMaker X (MMX) handlebar clamps, as supplied with each SRAM brake

Options

Rotor sizes: 6-bolt: HS2 180, 200, 220 mm. The kit defaults to two 180 mm (HS2); set that row to 0 and pick another size, or mix sizes (a larger rotor at the front is common). DB8 takes SRAM rotors up to 220 mm, the largest SRAM makes; SRAM publishes no per-model minimum, so this kit starts at 180 mm. SRAM suggests 200 mm front / 180 mm rear for e-MTB.

Fit-up parts, sold separately (linked here and shown with this kit): SRAM mount adapters (20 S for a 160 mm post mount to a 180 mm rotor, or 180 mm post mount to a 200 mm rotor; 40 P for a 160 mm post mount to a 200 mm rotor, or 180 mm post mount to a 220 mm rotor), spare pads (Large organic steel-backed; Large sintered steel-backed), SRAM mineral oil (Maxima Mineral Brake Oil only). Add what your bike needs to the cart alongside the kit.

This kit is the 6-bolt version; the Centre Lock version is listed separately.

Already have rotors? Untick them and the price follows the parts you keep. Every part in this kit can be deselected, so a bike that only needs one end, or already has the right rotors, is not charged for the rest.

Fitting notes

Australian convention: the right-hand lever works the front brake and the left-hand lever the rear; the sets are built that way. Most post-mount forks and frames take a 160 mm rotor directly; check your fork or frame's native size - a larger rotor needs the matching SRAM adapter only when the mount is smaller than the rotor (the matching adapters are linked above and shown with this kit). SRAM supplies each brake with its MMX clamp but without a rotor or mounting bracket. HS2 rotors are 2.0 mm thick and made for SRAM calipers. 6-bolt rotors bolt straight to a 6-bolt hub. The 2000 mm rear hose suits most frames; very large frames or high-rise bars may need a longer hose fitted and bled by a workshop. Service fluid: SRAM mineral oil (Maxima Mineral Brake Oil only); never DOT fluid.
