Carbon Rim & Tyre Range

The WH-RX880 rim stands 32mm tall with a 30mm internal width and 30.7mm external width. The wide internal profile supports 32–50mm tyres run tubeless at lower pressures, reducing rolling resistance and improving traction on mixed surfaces. At 32mm depth the rim resists crosswind deflection well — an important consideration on open gravel roads and exposed climbs.

Direct Engagement Freehub

Shimano's Direct Engagement ratchet mechanism eliminates the delay between pedal stroke and drive. The HG-Spline L2 freehub body is compatible with Shimano 12-speed road and GRX cassettes, including 11-30T, 11-34T, and 11-36T options. Cup-and-cone bearings with contact hub seals provide long-term reliability across wet and muddy conditions.
