Hope Tech 4 V4 4-Piston hydraulic disc brakes, front and rear, with centre lock floating rotors

A complete Hope Tech 4 V4 brake set for gravity, enduro and e-bike riding: two fully bled Hope brakes - front with the right-hand lever, rear with the left-hand lever - plus a pair of Hope Floating Disc Centre Lock rotors (1.8 mm two-piece floating rotor, 410 stainless outer on a CNC alloy centre). Made in Barnoldswick, UK, and fitted by Tune Cycles.

Brake colour: choose it on the front and rear rows - the first colour is the lever and caliper body, the second the accents; pick the same on both. Rotor sizes: Hope Floating Disc Centre Lock 180, 200, 220 mm (black centre; other colours on the rotor listings). The kit defaults to two 200 mm; set that row to 0 and pick another size, or mix sizes. Hope recommends 200 mm and larger for the V4. Rotor thickness the caliper takes: 1.8 to 3.3 mm (Vented, Floating, Fixed).

Fit-up parts, sold separately (linked here and shown with this kit): Hope brake mounts, black or silver for a rotor bigger than your fork or frame's native size (Hope's letter chart is on each listing), spare pads (racing compound V4 / GR4 / TR4, sintered V4 / GR4 / TR4, e-bike compound V4 / GR4 / TR4), and the Hope Easy Bleed Kit. Fluid: DOT 5.1 (DOT 4 compatible).

This kit is the Centre Lock version; the 6-bolt version is listed separately.

Already have rotors? Untick them and the price follows the parts you keep. Every part in this kit can be deselected, so a bike that only needs one end, or already has the right rotors, is not charged for the rest.

Fitting notes

Australian convention: the right-hand lever works the front brake and the left-hand lever the rear; the brakes are built that way. Hope ships every brake with a long hose, fully bled - most bikes need the hose shortened and the brake bled again, which is a workshop job (or the Easy Bleed Kit and Hope's instructions). Post-mount forks and frames take a rotor of their native size directly; a bigger rotor needs the matching Hope mount, and an IS mount always needs one. Centre Lock rotors need a Centre Lock hub and a lockring (40-50 N.m) - Hope’s anodised lockring is listed separately. Hope's Tech 4 has been succeeded by the Tech EVO range: this set is run-out stock. The V4 caliper is the only Hope caliper that takes the 3.3 mm Vented rotor. Hope notes the V4 is not compatible with every direct-mount 180 mm fork (fit the correct mount and a 200 mm rotor) nor with the 2021 Commencal Supreme DH 200 mm direct post mount.

Every part in this kit is covered by Hope Technology's warranty: disc brake systems for two years from the date of purchase against defects in materials and workmanship (proof of purchase required), rotors against defects in materials and workmanship. Brake pads and rotors are wear items; wear from normal use, incorrect installation, crash damage or modification is not covered. For any warranty claim or support, return the part to Tune Cycles and we will handle it with Hope's Australian distributor.
