Built for the extra weight and speed of an e-MTB, the 2027 Fox 36 Factory eMTB puts the trail-focused GRIP X damper in an e-optimised 36 chassis rated for a higher system weight.

GRIP X damper

The trail-focused GRIP X damper was revised to approach the ride feel of GRIP X2 with 120g less weight, and it runs quieter. It gives 15 clicks of high-speed compression, 16 of low-speed compression and 17 of low-speed rebound, with a firm mode for efficient pedalling. The FLOAT EVOL GlideCore air spring moves with the fork under dynamic load, cutting friction and bind for smoother suspension action and less fatigue in your hands and arms.

36 chassis, e-optimised

The 36's generatively designed arch raises torsional stiffness by 20% over the previous 36, and this version uses Fox's e-optimised chassis. It has air channels and bleeders.

Fitting and Fox service

Fork installation is a separate workshop service and isn't included. As an authorised Fox service centre, our Marrickville workshop can fit the fork to your bike (steerer cut, crown race and star nut), set sag and damping for your weight and riding, and look after its scheduled Fox servicing from there.

Compatibility & fit

For 29in wheels with a 15 x 110mm Boost hub and a 1.5in tapered steerer. Axle-to-crown is 576.0mm. Brakes are 200mm post mount direct, up to 230mm rotors with the right adapter. Maximum tyre size is 29 x 2.6in. Fox rates the e-optimised 36 for EN 17406 category 4 use with a maximum system weight of 169kg, and lists it as compatible with Class 3 and L1e-B e-bikes.
