GRIP X2 and GlideCore

GRIP X2 is Fox's most adjustable descent-focused damper, with 8 clicks of high-speed compression, 18 of low-speed compression, 8 of high-speed rebound and 16 of low-speed rebound. It holds the fork higher in its travel and keeps the tyre tracking the ground for more cornering traction, with less rider fatigue. The FLOAT GlideCore air spring moves with the fork under dynamic load, and large cross-section O-rings control that motion and cut breakaway friction, for smoother suspension action.

38 chassis

Optimised for 160mm to 180mm of travel, the 38 is Fox's long-travel single-crown fork. Learning from Podium, Fox increased bushing overlap by 20mm, lifting fore-aft stiffness by about 9% while reducing friction under load at high speed, and the new arch improves torsional stiffness for steering precision. It has air channels, bleeders and a 4-point direct mount for Fox's optional 36/38 mud guard.

Fitting and Fox service

Fork installation is a separate workshop service and isn't included. As an authorised Fox service centre, our Marrickville workshop can fit the fork to your bike (steerer cut, crown race and star nut), set sag and damping for your weight and riding, and look after its scheduled Fox servicing from there.

Compatibility & fit

For 27.5in wheels with a 15 x 110mm Boost hub (Kabolt-X thru-axle) and a 1.5in tapered steerer. Offset is 44mm. Axle-to-crown at 160mm is 560.6mm. Brakes are 200mm post mount direct, up to 230mm rotors with the right adapter. Maximum tyre size is 27.5 x 2.6in. Fox rates the 38 for EN 17406 category 5 use with a maximum system weight of 169kg, and lists it as compatible with Class 1, Class 3, L1e-A and L1e-B e-bikes.
