The Maxima is Trickstuff's brake for the steepest, roughest tracks, built to push the limits of braking power and control. Huge stopping power is paired with a smooth, predictable lever so you can dose it out precisely, even when the trail gets wild.

Power you can control

The Maxima's strength comes from two places: the hydraulic step from a 9 mm pump piston to four 16/17 mm caliper pistons, and a lever geometry with an exceptionally high mechanical ratio. Smooth lever action keeps the bite point predictable, so you can feather that power through rough, steep sections.

Stiff and cool under pressure

CNC-machined 7075 aluminium calipers with preloaded steel yoke bolts keep the system rigid. Hollow stainless steel pistons cut heat transfer into the caliper on long descents.

The Goodridge versions use swivel fittings at the pump, which stop the steel-braided hose twisting while you fit the brake. Trickstuff rates its Goodridge hose to 1,350 bar.

What's in the box

Front and rear brakes, machined handlebar clamps, Power+ 730 and Standard 730 pads, mounting hardware and an M4 bleed adapter. The hoses come at 900 mm (front) and 1,700 mm (rear). Discs and caliper adapters are sold separately.

Compatibility & fit

Front and rear brakes with post-mount calipers. Caliper adapters and discs are not included, so add the adapters and rotors your frame and fork need. Maximum disc thickness is 2.30 mm. Replacement pads use Trickstuff shape 730, and the system runs Bionol brake fluid.

Actuation is front right / rear left: the right-hand lever works the front brake.

Trickstuff interfaces (sold separately) mount SRAM MatchMaker X (MMX) and Shimano I-Spec EV shifters directly to the Maxima pump.

Fitting isn't included. Our Marrickville workshop can fit the brakes, shorten the hoses to suit your bike, bleed the system with Bionol and set up the levers.
