The Deore XT SL-M8100 is the right-hand shifter for Shimano's 12-speed XT mechanical drivetrain: a RAPIDFIRE PLUS trigger with a light, short action that lets you shift while you are still on the power. Pick the mount that suits your cockpit and it drops straight onto any XT, SLX or Deore 12-speed rear derailleur.

Choosing your mount

The band-clamp version fits a standard 22.2 mm bar on its own clamp. The I-SPEC EV version has no clamp; it mounts to an I-SPEC EV brake lever (BL-M8100, M7100, M6100 and later), so choose it only if your brakes take I-SPEC EV.

Compatibility

12-speed Shimano MTB only: RD-M8100, M7100 and M6100 rear derailleurs and 12-speed HYPERGLIDE+ cassettes. It does not shift 11-speed or LINKGLIDE derailleurs.
