The Shimano Deore SL-M5100-L is the left-hand front shifter for 2x Deore mountain drivetrains, giving you crisp, low-effort front changes from a single compact lever. Its RapidFire Plus Mono design uses one lever for both directions, so you can drop or lift the chain across your two chainrings with either thumb or index finger.

RapidFire Plus Mono shifting

Because front shifting only moves between two chainrings, the Mono lever consolidates both shift directions into a single paddle. The result is a clean, intuitive front change with less clutter on the bar.

2-Way Release

2-Way Release means the release shift can be triggered by either pushing the lever with your thumb or pulling it with your index finger, so you can shift in whichever hand position suits the moment.

Designed for 2x10-speed and 2x11-speed Deore M5100 mountain drivetrains. As a left-hand unit it operates the front derailleur. Verified front derailleur compatibility includes FD-M5100, FD-M7020-11, FD-M7025-11, FD-M8020, FD-M8025, FD-M9020, FD-M9025 (2x11) and FD-M4100, FD-M617, FD-M618, FD-M6020, FD-M6025 (2x10). Mounts via clamp band to 22.2 mm handlebars. This shifter is supplied without an optical gear display.
