Carbon Rim Construction
The WH-RS710-C46-TL rim uses a 46mm deep-section CFRP (carbon fibre reinforced polymer) profile with a 28mm external and 21mm internal width. The wide internal channel supports modern high-volume tyre fitment from 25c to 32c, improving ride comfort and rolling efficiency. The hooked bead design ensures secure tyre retention with both tubeless and clincher setups. Shimano includes tubeless rim tape pre-fitted, so you can run tubeless straight out of the box.
Spokes & Hub
Twenty-four bladed, double-butted stainless steel spokes (2.0–1.6–2.0mm) keep aerodynamic drag low while maintaining durability. Shimano's well-known cup-and-cone hub bearing system uses contact seals for reliable, long-service performance — and can be adjusted and serviced by any competent workshop, a practical advantage over proprietary sealed-cartridge systems.
