Scope designed the 8.T front to run with either the Artech 8.T rear wheel or the Artech Disc rear wheel, depending on event regulations and race conditions. The 23mm internal hooked bed is shaped around 28mm clincher and tubeless tyres for a balance of aerodynamics, rolling resistance and comfort.

Scope says its Artech triathlon and time trial wheels are used by three-time Ironman champion Patrick Lange and UCI World Tour teams, which have tested them with their own wind tunnel and field protocols.

Artech rim technology

Scope shapes the Artech rim with its Algorithm Enhanced Aerodynamics (AEA) process, which calculates the most aerodynamic profile for the rim. A textured Aeroscales surface creates velocity streaks across the rim that stabilise the airflow and reduce drag, and Scope's Local Reinforcement lay-up adds carbon layers only around the spoke holes, saving weight without giving up strength or stiffness.

3D-printed hub and Carbonlite Aerospokes

The Artech hub shell is a bone-like structure produced through topology optimisation and 3D printed from Scalmalloy, running on two SKF 61803 bearings. Scope's Carbonlite Aerospokes add high lateral stiffness while their aerodynamic shape reduces drag.

Compatibility & fit

Built on a 12 x 100mm thru-axle hub for disc brake forks with a Centre Lock rotor (rotor not included). Scope optimises the hooked, tubeless-ready rim for 28mm tyres and states it works with clincher and tubeless tyres. Wheel set-up and tyre fitting are separate Tune Cycles workshop services and are not included.

Scope covers Artech series wheels with a limited lifetime warranty against manufacturing and material defects. The warranty applies to the original purchaser of wheels bought from Scope or an official Scope dealer, and Scope asks for the product to be registered within 30 working days of purchase. Wear parts (rim tape, freehub body, pawls, springs, bearings and decals) and damage from impacts, crashes, incorrect fitting, modification or poor maintenance are not covered. For warranty support, return the product to Tune Cycles and we'll manage the claim with the brand's Australian distributor.
