The Zayante Carbon-S uses exactly the same carbon arms as Praxis's Zayante Carbon, fitted with a simplified, more economical LevaTime II ring set held on steel chainring bolts. You get the carbon arms and Praxis shifting for a little extra weight.

Rings and speeds

The 2x options use a simplified version of Praxis's LevaTime II X-rings, with a stiffer 5 mm big ring and forged shift pins. Praxis rates LevaTime II sets marked "10/11/12sp" on the big ring for 12-speed; older sets without that marking are 10/11-speed only. This crankset's 2x options are listed as 10/11-speed, so ask us to confirm the marking before ordering for a 12-speed build.

The 54/42 and 56/42 aero options use solid aero/TT rings on a 130 BCD spider, which Praxis rates for 10/11-speed only. The 1x options fit a narrow-wide direct-mount ring to the arm in place of the spider.

Compatibility & fit

Bottom bracket: needs a Praxis M30 bottom bracket (30 mm drive / 28 mm non-drive bearing), sold separately: BSA, BB86, T47 internal bearing, T47 external bearing, BB30, PF30, 386EVO or BBright. If you already run a Praxis M30 crank, your M30 BB suits this one; if your old crank had a non-removable spider, Praxis says you need its 1 mm drive-side dust cover in place of the 2 mm one.

Drivetrain: 2x road groups from Shimano (Di2 and mechanical), SRAM (eTap and mechanical) and Campagnolo (EPS and mechanical); 44.5 mm 2x road chainline, not compatible with Shimano GRX front derailleurs. 1x options give a 45.5 mm chainline, need a clutch rear derailleur and are not for Campagnolo chains.

Power: Praxis lists 3-bolt spider power meters from Power2Max (NG and NG Eco), SRM, SIGEY and XCADEY, plus Garmin, LOOK and Favero power pedals and the Velocomp PowerPod.

The Tune Cycles workshop can fit the bottom bracket and crankset for you as a separate workshop service. Threaded shells need the right BB tool and press-fit shells need a proper bearing press, so it pays to have the shell checked and the bottom bracket fitted correctly first. The main crank bolt is torqued to 48–52 Nm with a torque wrench.
