The Doon is Praxis's pro-level carbon road crank, made with its in-house C.R.A.F.T. carbon process. A pair of 172.5 mm arms weighs 342 g, and the 3-bolt direct-mount spider lets you run it as a 2x with LevaTime II rings or build the arm set up as a 1x.

Made for road groupsets

Praxis designed the Doon to pair with road groups. Its 44.5 mm 2x chainline suits groups such as Shimano Ultegra and Dura-Ace and SRAM Force and Red, and it works with Shimano Di2 and mechanical, SRAM eTap and mechanical, and Campagnolo EPS and mechanical 10/11/12-speed drivetrains. Built as a 1x, the chainline is 45.5 mm, the "CX1" line Praxis quotes for cyclocross and road 1x.

It is a road-chainline crank and is not compatible with Shimano GRX front derailleurs. For a GRX or SRAM Wide 2x gravel group, choose one of Praxis's GR gravel cranks instead.

Compatibility & fit

Bottom bracket: the Doon needs a 30/30 mm bottom bracket, sold separately. Praxis's M30-THRU BB is made for it in BSA, BB86, T47 internal bearing, T47 external bearing, BB30, PF30, 386EVO and BBright versions. Because the spindle is 30 mm for its whole length, Praxis says other brands' 30 mm BBs fit too. A standard Praxis M30 (30/28 mm) BB is not the right match.

Chain: 10/11/12-speed KMC, Shimano and SRAM chains, including SRAM Flattop. For 1x, Praxis does not support Campagnolo chains.

Power: Praxis lists 3-bolt spider power meters from Power2Max (NG and NG Eco), SRM, SIGEY and XCADEY, plus Garmin, LOOK and Favero power pedals.

The Tune Cycles workshop can fit the bottom bracket and crankset for you as a separate workshop service. Threaded shells need the right BB tool and press-fit shells need a proper bearing press, so it pays to have the shell checked and the bottom bracket fitted correctly first. The main crank bolt is torqued to 48–52 Nm with a torque wrench. Set the M30-THRU preload ring for your specific BB as the Praxis manual describes.
