Float SL is the smallest and lightest shock in Fox's range, designed for weight-conscious riders and XC racers. Its compression and rebound valving is tuned for traction and consistent damping on the descents, and a 3-position lever puts efficient power transfer a flick away.

Built for XC

Fox's valving gives the Float SL more tyre grip and more consistent damping than you'd expect from a shock this light, and its form factor fits a wide variety of XC and light trail bikes. The Performance series uses the same chassis as Factory with simpler external adjustments.

Three modes

Use Open for descents, Medium for rolling terrain and Firm for climbs and sprints. Rebound is set with the 12-click low-speed dial.

Fitting and Fox service

Fitting isn't included: shock installation and setup is a separate workshop service. Tune Cycles is an authorised Fox service centre in Marrickville, Sydney, so we can fit your new shock, set it up for your weight and riding, and look after its servicing. Fox recommends a full service every 125 hours of riding.

Compatibility & fit

Match the eye-to-eye length and stroke your frame maker specifies, and check whether your frame takes a standard eye or a trunnion mount. Mounting hardware isn't included; it's sold separately and has to suit your frame's mounts.
