Developed on the UCI Mountain Bike World Series downhill tracks, Air-Liner Protect Downhill puts a high-density foam barrier between rim and tyre to fend off pinch flats, rim strikes and sidewall slashes at race pace.

Built for gravity riding

The Downhill version uses a higher-density foam than Air-Liner Protect Enduro, made to handle the repeated hits of high-speed DH and bike park laps. Vittoria also recommends it for the rear wheel on the most aggressive enduro set-ups and on eMTBs.

Compatibility & fit

Sized for 29 in wheels with 2.4-2.6 in tyres. Air-Liner Protect is for tubeless set-ups only and must be used with a Multiway-style tubeless valve. It won't work with inner tubes. Vittoria rates it as compatible with eBikes and with any liquid sealant.

Fitting an insert is a separate workshop job and isn't included in the price. The Tune Cycles workshop can fit it and set up your tubeless system for you.
