SUNringlé Duroc 30 J-Unit DT Swiss 350 hand-built kids wheelset, 24in

The premium build of our 24in kids' wheelset: SUNringlé's junior Duroc 30 J-Unit rims laced 32-spoke to DT Swiss 350 hubs, built by hand in our Marrickville workshop, for a thru-axle kids' bike that is ridden hard and handed down.

Before you order: what your bike decides

  • Wheel size: 24in. Read it off the tyre sidewall.
  • Fork: 15 x 100 mm thru-axle: pick 15/100 on the front hub's card (the card also lists 15 x 110 Boost and 20 x 110 for those forks).
  • Frame: 12 x 142 mm thru-axle: pick 12/142 on the rear hub's card (12 x 148 Boost is listed too). A 135 mm quick-release frame takes our Novatec 24in kids wheelset instead.
  • Brakes: disc only; 6-bolt or Centre Lock, picked on each hub's card. A 6-bolt rotor also fits a Centre Lock hub with the Shimano SM-RTAD05 adapter.
  • Cassette: the 12 x 142 rear comes with a Shimano HG freehub body (8- to 12-speed HG cassettes).

Kit includes

Options: front axle and rotor mount · rear axle, rotor mount and freehub body. The card marks any combination that is out of stock. · tubeless valves (50 mm, up to 2).

Everything in the Wheelset box is built in. The rows under Upgrades are optional: tick what you want and the price updates. If you want us to lace a rim or hub you already own, that is a workshop job: contact us for a quote.

Why DT Swiss 350

DT's workhorse hub: the Ratchet 36 SL freehub engages through two star ratchets with 36 points and is simple to service, so the wheelset carries over from bike to bike as a rider grows.

How we build it

Every wheel is laced by hand in Marrickville with DT Swiss Competition double-butted spokes (2.0/1.8/2.0 mm) and DT brass nipples, brought up to even tension, stress-relieved and trued, then checked again before it is packed. Each wheelset is built to order. Our Pro wheel build and tape are added to your cart automatically as two free lines. The build carries our workmanship guarantee; each maker's warranty on its parts is on the Warranty tab.

The rims are tubeless-ready: add our 50 mm tubeless valves below and sealant for a lighter, lower-pressure set-up.

Sold separately (shown with this kit): tubeless sealant, 160 mm rotors to suit your mount, a cassette for your freehub and tyres to suit.

DT Swiss hubs are covered for 24 months from purchase against material and manufacturing defects (dtswiss.com/en/support/warranty). SUNringlé rims carry SUNringlé's warranty against defects in materials and workmanship. Our build (lacing, tension and truing) carries our workmanship guarantee. Any claim comes back to Tune Cycles: bring the wheel to Marrickville or contact us with your order number and we handle it with the brand. Wear, crash damage, corrosion and incorrect fitting are not covered.

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.
