What it is
This is a replacement cage assembly (sometimes called a pulley and spring kit) for the SRAM X0 10-speed rear derailleur. It is a spare part, not a complete derailleur. The long cage gives the extra chain wrap needed for wide-range and triple-chainring 10-speed mountain bike drivetrains.
Why rebuild
Bent cages, notched pulley teeth and tired return springs are the usual culprits behind sloppy, noisy shifting. Fitting a fresh cage assembly returns the derailleur to a like-new shifting feel and extends its service life.
