Electronic-Hydraulic Integration

The ST-R8070-L pairs a Di2 electronic shift actuator with a fully hydraulic brake master cylinder in a single lever body. With no mechanical shift cables and no brake cables running to the bars, the cockpit is cleaner and the system requires minimal ongoing adjustment. The hydraulic reservoir automatically compensates for pad wear, maintaining consistent lever feel throughout the life of the brake pads.

E-TUBE PROJECT Customisation

Connect the ST-R8070-L to Shimano's E-TUBE PROJECT app via the Di2 junction box to customise shift button functions, configure multi-shift increments, and update firmware. Two E-Tube electrical ports allow integration across the full Di2 network including junction boxes, batteries, and derailleurs.

Compatibility & Fit

The ST-R8070-L is the left-side lever designed for 2x11-speed Shimano Ultegra R8050 Di2 hydraulic disc road groupsets. Compatible with Shimano BR-R8070 flat mount hydraulic disc brake calipers. Uses Shimano mineral oil (not DOT fluid). Requires Di2 battery, junction box, and E-Tube wiring (sold separately). Not compatible with SW-R610 satellite switch. In Australian setup, the left lever operates the rear brake. Sold as a single lever.
