It runs on Shimano mineral oil — safer and less hygroscopic than DOT fluid — and features Shimano's One-Way Bleeding port, which simplifies maintenance and reduces the risk of air entering the system. The flat-mount interface keeps the caliper low-profile on the frame or fork. Finned resin pads are pre-installed, aiding heat management during extended descents.
