The mid-ship (mid-drive) mounting position replaces the traditional bottom bracket, keeping weight centred and low for predictable handling under load.

The EP801 features CAN bus and ACC port connectivity alongside standard SD300 ports and a speed sensor port, enabling extensive system integration with displays, smart batteries, and third-party accessories.
