Design & Construction

The FC-M7100-1 uses hollow-forged crank arms — an advanced manufacturing process that removes material from the inside of each arm, reducing mass without sacrificing the rigidity needed to handle the torque demands of trail and enduro riding. The result is a crankset that feels stiff under power and responsive on technical climbs.

Compatibility & Fit

This crankset is compatible with Shimano 12-speed MTB drivetrains (SLX M7100 and equivalents). Crank arm length: 175mm. Q-factor: 172mm. Chainline: 52mm, suited to 141mm and 148mm (Boost) rear spacing. The Hollowtech II spindle requires an outboard bottom bracket — compatible shells: 68mm or 73mm threaded. Recommended bottom brackets are the Shimano BB-MT800-PA (PF30/PressFit) or BB-MT800 (threaded); both are sold separately. Chainring not included — requires a Shimano 12-speed direct mount chainring.
