Built for HYPERGLIDE+ shifting

The CN-M8100 is engineered around Shimano's HYPERGLIDE+ system, with plate profiles that let the chain climb and drop sprockets faster and more smoothly, including while you are pedalling hard. The extended portion of the inner plate engages the chainring and cassette teeth more deeply, holding the chain securely when the trail gets rough.

Low friction, long life

SIL-TEC plating embeds fluorine particles into the chain surface to cut friction, shed dirt and hold lubricant longer. The result is a quieter, longer-lasting drivetrain that stands up to off-road conditions.

Compatibility & fit

This is a 12-speed HYPERGLIDE+ (HG) chain at 116 links. It is compatible with all Shimano 12-speed drivetrains, including XTR, XT, SLX and Deore MTB groups as well as Dura-Ace, Ultegra, 105 and GRX road groups. The included SM-CN910-12 Quick Link is single-use, so keep a spare for any later removal or re-fitting. Approved for e-bike use.
