Wireless Di2 and E-TUBE Customisation

The ST-RX825 is Shimano's wireless GRX Di2 lever, sharing the semi-wireless architecture proven in Dura-Ace R9200 and Ultegra R8100. The hydraulic brake hose remains integrated, but all shift signals travel wirelessly to the rear derailleur — eliminating any power wire run to the bars. Using the free E-TUBE PROJECT Cyclist app, you can customise button assignment, adjust shift speed, and activate Synchronised or Semi-Synchronised shift modes for seamless front-and-rear coordination. Shimano Front Shift Next functionality is also supported for smarter front derailleur management.

Gravel-Specific Ergonomics

Shimano engineered the RX825 hood shape specifically for gravel riding. The rounder, more voluminous profile creates a larger contact surface that reduces pressure points on long days in the saddle, while the raised hood position gives a comfortable arm angle on flared bars. The third Di2 button sits on the inner face of the hood — where your thumb naturally rests in the drops — enabling shifts without moving your hand position. At 207g per lever, it is built to the same weight discipline as the rest of the GRX Di2 lineup.

Compatibility and Fit

This is the right-hand lever only, controlling rear derailleur shifting and — per Australian convention — the front brake. Designed for the Shimano GRX Di2 12-speed groupset; compatible with GRX Di2 rear derailleur (RD-RX825), front derailleur (FD-RX825), and GRX hydraulic disc brake calipers (BR-RX820). One SD300-compatible satellite shifter port per lever. Pair with the ST-RX825-L left lever for a complete 2×12 Di2 setup. Fits standard drop handlebars 23.8–31.8 mm; optimised for flared bars. Uses Shimano mineral oil (not DOT fluid).
