ST-R9270 Left Lever
The ST-R9270 integrates wireless Di2 shifting and hydraulic disc brake actuation into a single left-hand lever. A raised hood peak and longer hood body improve hand support and ergonomics in all riding positions. Larger, better-spaced shift buttons make operation reliable even with gloves. The lever reach is adjustable, and all button assignments can be configured through the Shimano E-TUBE Project app. A long-life CR1632 coin cell battery powers the wireless unit for up to two years between changes.
BR-R9270 Rear Disc Brake Caliper
The BR-R9270 uses Shimano's Mono-Body construction — a single machined piece that maximises caliper stiffness while keeping weight low. Pad clearance is 10% wider than the previous Dura-Ace generation, reducing the likelihood of rotor contact and the associated noise. A redesigned one-way bleeding process makes workshop maintenance faster and cleaner. The caliper accepts Shimano Ice Technologies pads and is compatible with the RT-MT900 and RT-CL900 rotor families.
