Semi-Wireless Di2 Architecture

Ergonomics and Construction

The R9270 lever features a redesigned hood profile with a raised, wider body — the flat section is 4.6 mm longer than previous Dura-Ace for improved palm support during long rides and climbing. Higher, slightly inward-inclined horns improve grip in the drops, and the clearance between the lever blade and handlebar is optimised for a balanced feel in both the hoods and drops. The carbon fibre blade reduces weight and the clamp band fits 23.8–24.2 mm handlebar diameters.

Compatibility & Fit

The ST-R9270-L (left lever) operates the front brake and front derailleur via Di2. In Australian setup, the left lever controls the rear brake — confirm your preferred setup when building. Compatible with Shimano Dura-Ace R9200 12-speed Di2 groupsets, Dura-Ace BR-R9270 hydraulic disc brake callipers (flat mount), and SW-RS801 series satellite shifters. Requires Shimano Di2 battery unit (BT-DN300 or compatible) and Di2 junction/port accessories (EW-SD300, SM-EW90 series or equivalent).
