Wireless Di2 & Smart Control

The ST-R9270 communicates wirelessly with compatible Dura-Ace Di2 derailleurs, eliminating shift wires for a cleaner cockpit. An EW-SD300 port is retained for optional wired connection to satellite shifters, and wired operation extends battery life by approximately 50%. Shifting behaviour — including Synchro-Shift, Semi-Synchro, and shift speed — is fully customisable via the E-TUBE Di2 smartphone app.

Servo Wave Hydraulic Braking

Shimano's Servo Wave linkage geometry means the brake pads sweep quickly to the rotor with minimal lever travel, then transitions to a progressive power stroke for fine-grained control. The self-adjusting hydraulic reservoir automatically compensates for pad wear, keeping the feel consistent as the pads bed in over time. The system uses Shimano mineral oil and is compatible with SM-BH90-JK-SSR hose (not included).

Ergonomics & Adjustability

A raised hood peak, longer hood body, and slightly inward-angled horn position accommodate modern riding postures and improve hand support on long rides. The shift buttons are larger and better spaced for easy access from the drops even with gloves on. Reach adjustment sets lever distance from the handlebar, and free stroke adjustment dials in the precise pad-to-rotor contact feel — both settable with a simple screw.

Compatibility & Fit

This is the right-hand lever, controlling the rear derailleur in a standard Shimano road setup. Designed for the Shimano Dura-Ace R9200 Di2 groupset (12-speed, 2×12). Fits handlebars with a clamp diameter of 23.8–24.2 mm. Compatible with hydraulic disc brake calipers using flat-mount attachment. Uses Shimano mineral oil only; compatible hose is SM-BH90-JK-SSR (sold separately). Satellite shifter ports accept SW-RS801-T (tops), SW-RS801-S (drops), and SW-RS801-E (aero bar) remote buttons.
