ST-R9180 Di2 TT Lever

The ST-R9180 is designed specifically for TT and triathlon handlebars, mounting to base bars for accessible braking and shifting in the aero position. Each lever features a single Di2 shift button and connects via E-Tube EW-SD50 port to the Di2 system. The carbon brake lever incorporates Shimano's reach adjust mechanism, allowing the lever-to-bar distance to be dialled for different hand sizes. Free-stroke adjustment gives further control over the feel of hydraulic brake engagement. Because each lever carries one button, Synchro Shift mode is used to manage front and rear derailleurs simultaneously, configurable in the E-Tube Project app.

BR-R9270 Hydraulic Disc Caliper

The BR-R9270 caliper uses a forged one-piece Mono-Body construction that maximises stiffness while keeping weight to just 120 g (front). Twin 22 mm ceramic pistons deliver progressive, powerful braking with excellent modulation. The aluminium radiation fin pads (L03A resin ice-tech compound) dissipate heat effectively during prolonged descents. Shimano's redesigned One-Way bleeding system makes pad replacement and bleeding straightforward, with a separate bleed port and valve screw on the caliper body. The automatic hydraulic reservoir continuously adjusts pad-to-rotor clearance as pads wear, maintaining consistent feel throughout the life of the pads.

Compatibility & Fit

This right-hand lever and front caliper set is intended for Shimano Dura-Ace Di2 groupsets. The ST-R9180 is compatible with 11-speed Di2 systems and is updatable to 12-speed with firmware version 3.3.0 or newer (requires SM-PCE02 or SM-BCR2). The BR-R9270 caliper uses flat mount and accepts 140 mm or 160 mm rotors (adapter required for 160 mm). Brake fluid: Shimano mineral oil only. Electronic wire (EW-SD50) sold separately. Does not include rotor or Di2 battery.
