Electronic Precision & Customisation

The ST-R9150 uses Shimano's E-TUBE wired Di2 architecture — a plug-and-play network that delivers power and electronic signals to each component with no rust, no stretch, and no freeze risk. Two SD50 E-TUBE ports allow daisy-chain connectivity to junction boxes and other Di2 components. The E-TUBE Project software (PC or smartphone app) lets you remap shift buttons, set multi-shift increments, and configure Synchro Shift modes to suit your riding style and race strategy.

Hood Shape & Ergonomics

Shimano redesigned the hood profile for the R9100 generation to improve contact feel, particularly during hard efforts or when wearing gloves. The shift lever position offers a more intuitive click action compared to the previous Dura-Ace generation, giving confident tactile feedback without distracting from the ride. Adjustable reach accommodates a range of hand sizes. The carbon composite hood material keeps weight low while maintaining the grip quality expected at the Dura-Ace level.
