Lever & Caliper Detail

The BL-M8200 lever features an aluminium lever blade and master cylinder with a straight hose connection. The ergonomic profile curves upward slightly, keeping the finger naturally positioned for two-finger braking. The master cylinder is pre-bled and connected via SM-BH90-SBM hose, ready for installation. The BR-M8200 caliper body is alloy with heat-resistant resin pistons and an updated oval pad mount that reduces pad rattle on rough terrain.

Compatibility & Fit

This set is configured as a front brake with a right-hand lever — the standard Australian setup (right lever = front brake). The BR-M8200 caliper uses a post-mount interface. Compatible with Shimano hydraulic rotors; Shimano recommends the RT-CL900 or RT-CL800 series rotors (sold separately). Brake fluid: Shimano low viscosity mineral oil (SM-LVOIL) — do not use DOT fluid. The BL-M8200 lever is compatible with Shimano I-SPEC EV shifter integration.
