Wireless Di2 Platform

The SW-M6250-R is part of Shimano's M6200 Deore Di2 groupset — Shimano's most accessible wireless electronic drivetrain. Running on two CR1632 coin batteries, the switch communicates wirelessly with the RD-M6250 rear derailleur, eliminating the wiring harness required by earlier Di2 systems. Note that the SW-M6250-R does not feature E-Tube ports, so firmware is set at the factory and cannot be updated in the field. System pairing and function customisation are handled through the E-TUBE PROJECT Cyclist app via QR code.

E-TUBE PROJECT Customisation

Connect to the Shimano E-TUBE PROJECT Cyclist app via smartphone to personalise shift mode preferences, assign functions to the programmable button, and pair the switch to your system. The three-button layout — two shift paddles and one configurable button — gives you control over gear changes and additional rider-configurable actions from a single compact unit.

Compatibility & Fit

The SW-M6250-R is designed for Shimano MTB Di2 wireless systems and is compatible with 11-speed and 12-speed Shimano Mountain Di2 drivetrains including the Deore M6200 and Deore XT M8200 series rear derailleurs.
