The BR-U6030 caliper uses a simple 2-piston architecture with an integrated flat mount interface — the caliper mounts directly to the frame's flat mount tabs without an adapter for 160 mm rotors, keeping the installation clean and weight down. The BL-U6030-L lever inherits Shimano's SERVO WAVE technology from its 105 and Ultegra stablemates, delivering a consistent, progressive brake feel regardless of riding pace or terrain.
