The EVO TR4 is Hope's trail brake and the successor to the Tech 4 E4: four-piston power for trail and all-mountain riding with a firm, consistent lever feel and the smooth EVO lever action. The one-piece caliper has larger 16 / 17 mm pistons than the E4 and takes the bigger pad shared with the GR4 for better feel and consistency, with a slimmer bore-cap design for frame clearance. Tech EVO lever: longer lever hook for control under hard braking, dimpled blade for grip in all weathers, new cam that shortens the free stroke while keeping Hope's feel and modulation, roller-bearing main pivot, two guide bushes on the master-cylinder piston, bleed port on the body, tool-free bite-point and reach adjusters, hinged clamp.
This listing is the front brake with the right-hand lever - one complete brake: lever, 2 m black hose (cut to length at fitting), caliper and Hope racing-compound pads, fully bled. Rotors: 1.8 to 2.3 mm - Hope's Floating (6-bolt or Centre Lock) and Fixed rotors; not the 3.3 mm Vented rotor. We build the TR4 set on 180 mm rotors; a rotor larger than the mount's native size needs the matching Hope brake mount. Fluid: DOT 5.1 (DOT 4 compatible). Pads: the V4 / GR4 / TR4 pad (HBSP303).
Hope Technology covers its disc brake systems for two years from the date of purchase against defects in materials and workmanship (proof of purchase required). Brake pads and rotors are wear items. Return the product to Tune Cycles and we manage the claim with Hope's Australian distributor on your behalf.
